This statement piece is absolutely gorgeous and I look forward to working it into my fall wardrobe. I do not consider this a piece for just summer. I think you can do many things with the right accessories.

This is made with a light weight metal, however it does weigh more than the jewelry that I already have but that is not a deciding factor in my rating and review. I love how the leaves are laid across each other in a layered affect. I normally do not wear pinks at all. But this necklace is different.

The chain is very sturdy is as the clasp so I am not worried about the chain breaking at all. I also tend to wear chains that are larger, like this one. A dainty chain just isn't my thing. I would love to see this piece in different colors. I think a lot of women would love this piece if there was a larger color selection. Personally I would love to see this trimmed in brown with golds, yellows and reds. I assume the fact that our temperatures have dropped and fall is on the way is the cause of this, haha.

I would recommend this for anyone wanting to make a statement. It is definitely a conversation starter as I discovered yesterday.

I think the price of this piece is very affordable and I am glad I got a chance to review it. Again, I am looking forward to seeing what I can do with my wardrobe.

My hair is mostly straight already but I do have wave. My hair also loves to go frizzy anytime it rains. If I used hair serums I always ended up getting an oily look. What I love about this brush is that it is metal and has an auto shut off. I am always forgetting things. So this is just one less worry for me. The on the box instructions make it less likely to lose paperwork. I love being able to open the box for a quick reference.

This brush was so easy to use. I just powered it on and used the plus and minus button to adjust the temperature. Once it had heated up I was ready to go. I also use hair serums to prevent heat damage. I think it is very important. I have some products that I had ordered as well as some I bought at our local stores. I just applied the serum and started brushing. I did not use the glove in the video, I forgot, haha. But this is something that I will use in the future. I also love that this product comes with a hair clip. Normally you do not receive these things with other straighteners. I call them perks. This brush comes in 3 colors so everyone can get the color that they enjoy.

My hair has never looked more amazing. I have used this brush after my hair has been washed and dried and that is all it has needed. Even when I get up from sleep my hair still feels amazing. If you guys do not have this brush, you must check it out. You will not be unhappy with it at all.

In ending I have to say that this is my all time favorite hair straightener. Not only does it tame my frizzy hair on rainy days, but it got rid of my wavy hair for a straighter look. I love that there are some accessories included with this brush that makes styling my hair easier. Doing your hair should not feel like a chore. They just made fixing my hair more enjoyable. I felt very privileged to be able to sample and review this great Carafe that is not only great for water, but for juice, teas, infused water and whatever else you might want to put in it.

This carafe is very elegant as well as serviceable. It is made from borosilicate glass and is 1.5 liters or 50 ounces. It is dishwasher safe but I prefer to hand wash just because it is glass and might break in the dishwasher. It is for hot as well as cold beverages and I have tried it with both. The handle is also made of glass and I was hesitant at first to use the handle. However, It held up and I was very pleased. I  always need wipes and have been using baby wipes while hiking/camping or when we are on the go. I have a 6 year old and it seems we always need wipes. Napkins just do not cut it. So I was able to try these and they worked so much better for me than baby wipes.

These are so much larger than baby wipes. They are 12" by 24" and offer you more than the smaller wipes. They are very durable. I was able to use one and rinse it and then repeat.

They are pre-moistened but not so much that they drip. There is just enough moisture to keep them wet and serviceable. I love that they are individually packaged. I get so tired of fighting with the wipes that I had been using. You know where you pull one and two or three come out of the package. This was a huge plus for me.

I think what I love the most is that the packages are so small and convenient that you can pack them anywhere and not lose space. I have distributed these into my backpacks, purse, and messenger bags for quick and easy access.

THE SUNLIGHT PILGRIMS by Jenni Fagan tells the story of a small Scottish caravan park living through what people believe is the end of times. People are found frozen in the street, schooling and health care are run on a voluntary basis and euthanasia has become acceptable. People are struggling to survive but life must continue. Dylan who just lost his mother and grandmother, arrives in the park one night to start all over. He meets Stella who is struggling to be accepted and her mother who he quickly realizes he is interested in.

The main focus of the story is Dylan and Constance, but do not count out Stella who stands out amongst all the fear and death. Stella is a trans teen who just wants to be accepted for who she is and is quickly becoming. A harsh winter has set in and they are calling for temperatures to be -40 and below with snow and ice. It would seem that the end of the world is near and that is all I have to say about that, haha.

I found this book to be a little boring through the first few chapters. It was really hard for me to get into. It has taken me several weeks to finish it. However, I did find the characters to be interesting and lively. Once I progressed past the first few chapters I was more interested.

I can not say this is my favorite book of all time. I was interesting and once the story unfolded I became more interested in seeing how the plot progressed. I would give this book 3 stars as I found it okay.

I received this awesome children's Indian play tent to review and my child loved it. I also loved it as it kept my child busy for hours outdoors as well as indoors. He even sets it in front of the television and sticks his sleeping bag in it, crawls in and watches his movies.

This product was so easy to assemble. It comes with the tepee, plastic tubing, a flag, and décor piece. The plastic tubing has a cord in the middle that makes instructions not necessary. I assembled the top piece and then added the leg pieces. It is important to note that you should stick the top piece inside the tent and add the leg pieces one at a time. Also leave each bottom portion of the leg un-attached until you add the extreme bottom piece inside the tent. It makes it so much easier. Once you have all piping in place tie the cloth strips around the piping to give it more stability and to keep the fabric in place. I then secured the Velcro strips on the front and added the flag at the top and décor piece as well. Voila, it is ready to go.

The fabric on this product seemed to be a canvas type material so I had to go look it up. It is 100% polyester fabric so it is very sturdy. I know I said a canvas type of material in my video but that is in-accurate but in my own defense it does feel like canvas. The tubing seems to be PVC or something similar.

We have been playing with this product for several weeks now and I can not stress enough how much my child loves it. Normally when I am looking for him when we are indoors I now know to look inside the tepee.

WANJIA HANDHELD GARMENT AND FACIAL STEAMER

I was so excited to get to try the WANJIA HANDHELD GARMENT AND FACIAL STEAMER. I do not iron, ever. Who has time for that? This little gadget was so much quicker and gave me better results. I also found that adding a little essential oil to my water made my clothing smell amazing.

This product comes with the steamer, 2 attachments and instructions. The instructions are easy to follow, but make sure you read them. That is very important as I found out first hand. Only fill the water tank to 200 ml, anything more and it will bubble out. Plug it in and set it on the setting you want to use. Ironing? Set it on that. Facial? Set it on that. Give it two minutes to heat up and you are ready to roll. You will see it bubbling inside the tank. It does get hot.

I was able to steam about 6 items before my tank ran out. But I did a thorough steaming. It removed all the wrinkles from my child's clothing as well as my dress. Once I was done, I simply emptied the tank and I turned it upside down in my drainer in order to let it dry. You probably do not have to do that but I did.

This is probably my favorite product of 2016. Like I said I do not iron. I also needed a product for giving myself a facial. You simply set it on the facial setting and let it heat up, again 2 minutes. It does not get as hot as the ironing option but I would not put my face to close to the nozzle. Again, do not fill beyond the 200 ml line. I saw a review of this product and she did not follow instructions therefore giving the product a bad review. I know this because I did not follow the instructions when I first set up the product and the same thing happened to me. IMPORTANT: Do not fill beyond the 200 ml line.

In ending, this product is amazing and I love it. I would recommend this product for everyone. Men, women, college kids and pretty much any mature person that can follow simple directions. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

THE WOLF ROAD by BETH LEWIS

Okay, you guys know me, I have a hard time giving out information as to the plot of a book for fear of giving it away. With that being said, this book was actually very surprising for me. It was listed in the science fiction genre so I was hesitant. I requested it anyway and gave it a shot. I was impressed.

The story is set in a post-apocalyptic world and follows Elka who ends up on her own. She is found by Trapper, a survivalist who takes her in and teaches her to take care of herself. She sets off on a journey to find her parents while Trapper follows her in an effort to kill her.

This book was thrilling to read. I found it full of twists and turns and I hated to put it down at the end of the day. The characters that Elka meets along her journey made this book one of my favorites.

I normally do not read very many thrillers of this nature. But I really enjoyed this one. I kept my totally enthralled and I enjoyed it. I received this book from Blogging for Books in exchange for a honest review.

Unlike a lot of people, I prefer adult coloring books that actually tell a story. This coloring book contains not only pages to color but quotes from famous people as well as scriptures from the Bible. This book offers you some history behind this great nation.

This coloring book is something that I can use to teach my child about the history of the United States.

Some of the uncolored pages of this coloring book are absolutely gorgeous. They just need a little color to make them even more so.

I prefer color pencils to color the inside pages. But the outside pages will be done with gel pens. As you can see in the picture above, it has already been started and gives you an idea as to how beautiful this will turn out when you are done. The back cover hasn't been touched.

The pages have the ability of being removed from the book. This is not an option I will use however. For me this is something that I intend on coloring with my child and saving for years. I guess you could say this will be a memento of times we spent together.

The Never Open Desert Diner by James Anderson

GREAT READ

Ben Jones, is an independent truck driver along Highway 117. It is a very lonely highway that is well known to Ben as he travels it daily.  He loves his job and his customers who are very clever and interesting characters. I personally found the birthday incident one of my favorite parts of the book. He meets Claire who has taken refuge in a house in the area with her cello. From the moment he sees her he is taken with her. But she is running from something, and that will put them both in danger. I am not going to delve any deeper into the plot of this novel as I hate spoilers. 

This is James Andersons first novel and I found it very interesting. It was not one of those books that I just couldn't put down. But I enjoyed picking it up and reading whenever I had time. This book was written in a very straightforward easy to understand lingo that I loved.

This is my child and this is the way he dresses most always unless we are going somewhere. He only ever puts clothes on because I make him, haha. However, around the house he is fine. LITTLE MAN IS A FIRST GRADER

I just had to share this picture. My little man has graduated from kindergarten and I could not be prouder. We have come a long way and I love him so much. Isn't he just the sweetest thing and he has the most awesome personality on his good days. Yes, he has bad days like the rest of us but raising this baby has been totally worth it. After losing my son I swore I would never love another child. I did not want to experience the heartache again. But God put this little man in my life for a reason. Even though we have had some bad times. The good times make it all worth while.

Nini loves you little man and I will always be here for you. You are my life and my love. "Congratulations" and lets do it again next year.

MiYang Women's Backless Floral Spa Beach Dress Swimwear

This is the first time I have ever ordered a swimsuit online, ever. I saw this one and thought it was adorable and I had to have it. I needed a swimsuit that was cute as well as it had to cover my stomach. The blue peacock print is what attracted me to this suit, as well as the design. I do not think it matters what size you are if you own one of these suits. They are a great suit to add to your closet.

I am normally very cautious when I buy a swimsuit because honestly there are some out there that are just cheaply made and fall apart very easily. They also have a tendency to fade when used in chlorinated pools and while in the wash. I did not experience this with MiYang's suit at all. This suit is machine washable but I prefer to hand wash. I think we all know not to use a dryer when it comes to drying our suits. So I hung it out to dry. But not in the sun. Never dry your suit in the sun. That will fade most all fabrics. I experienced no fading after swimming in our community pool several times. Nor did it fade when I washed and dried it.

This suit is made very well. It is 82% Nylon, 18% Elasten, 80% Nylon and 20% Terylen. I am not sure why the material is listed as it is. I assume that it is talking about different parts of the suit.
The swimsuit feels like a second skin while it is on, yet it breathes. It is very comfortable and I have had numerous compliments on it while at the pool. The girls all want to know where I purchased this suit so I have given them the link. You will find that link at the bottom of my review here.

The chest area is padded so please be aware of that when you are choosing your size. However, there is a small place where you can take the padding out that I just noticed, ha. I seriously do not know how I missed that when I put it on. The straps are adjustable so that you can make it less revealing if you so desire.

I have been needing a lamp for my desk and I was able to try this product for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

When I first opened the package I was surprised at the size and the way it was packaged. My thought "Well, this is cool." The cord is very short so I was wondering how I would charge it with the USB port as my hard drive is on the floor. I moved the hard drive to the desk top and then discovered the plug, haha. You can charge the lamp with the USB port or in a wall outlet. It is very important to charge this product for at least 6 hours before use. I immediately plugged it in and let it charge.

I fell asleep that night so it actually received more than a 6 hour charge.

I have been using this lamp for the last several days and I love it. The wattage is 5 watts and emits enough light so that you can see effectively with a  cool brightness. I was amazed that this was 5 watts because it seems like more.  There is a slight indentation on the base of the lamp that allows you to turn it on and off. It does not take very much pressure to turn it off at all.

This lamp stands about 15 inches high when the neck is straight up. The neck is bendable so you can adjust it to fit your needs. This was a huge plus for me as I like to control the lighting at my desk.

In ending I have to say this lamp has been a great help to me and it works great. It is very lightweight and allows me to transfer it to where I need it without worrying about cords getting in the way.

 I get it, Momma. I totally get it.
 Every day you wake up and try your very best. You love, give, and pour out your life for the ones who call you Momma. But no matter how much you offer, there are still days you feel as though you come up short. You worry, Am I loving these babies enough? Is this ever going to get easier? Why does it seem like I am the only one who cannot balance it all?

WOW, I have never connected with a book like I did this one. I did not want to put it down. I spent every second mesmerized with her experiences and her reflections.
I was raised in church for the first few years of my life. I do not remember a lot of those years as I was so young. But they instilled in me a belief in God and faith. I married very young and had babies very young. I was not prepared to have children. Kids should not have kids, period.

Now my babies are all grown up and I am raising my grandson. I have been in his life since the day he was born. My daughter lived with me off and on and then I got custody of him when he was three.
Sometimes I feel like a fish out of water and this book is exactly what I needed. It is so hard doing it a second time around. You do not want to make the mistakes you made when you were younger and raising babies. Sometimes you do not know who to turn to. Sometimes your friends can not be there for you. So who do you turn to? Who can you depend on to help lighten your load?

The author talks about her own experiences and explains through scripture how God loves us and how he wants us to turn it all over to him. To depend on him entirely. This books gives mothers hope that the hard times are only fleeting moments in our lives and that there are great things in store for us. At the end of each chapter there are questions a prayer and a statement. There are also a few lines so that you can write whatever you want down. I opted to save this part of the book for my second read. Yes, I am going to read it again.

This book is beautifully written and packaged. I loved hearing of her life experiences with her children and how she overcame the hardships. I think my favorite part of the entire book was the IHOP  experience. Can you imagine that happening to you? I do not think that has ever happened to me but I have a lot of other similar stories. Once I got started I did not want it to end. I did not want to put it down. But being a mother, you have to fold the page over to fix the little one some lunch. Or to fold the laundry. I was soon able to get back to the book after the chaos that is my life calmed down.

In ending, this book is a great inspiration to all mothers. Whether they are first time mommies or experienced. This book is also great for us grandmothers. I enjoyed this book so much and think it would make an excellent gift to anyone with children or grandchildren. Sometimes us grandparents need inspiration to.

I had forgotten how brave I was going to be. Or how firm I would be concerning what was best for my baby and my family, whatever society's judgmental opinions might be. But you know, right there in the middle of IHOP, society didn't seem like some distant hypothetical group. Society seemed like the folks in the next booth eating French toast and getting their coffee refilled.

MODELING CLAY AND PLAYDOUGH RECIPES

AIR HARDENING MODELING CLAY

2 cups baking soda
1 cup cornstarch
1.5 cups cold water
(makes about 2 pounds - the recipe can be halved).

Baking soda and cornstarch make a smooth, pliable play clay that can be colored with everyday food coloring - or left white and painted once it hardens. When you have made your model, leave it to air dry - turning every 12 hours or so.

Place ingredients in a pan and stir until smooth. Set the pan over a medium heat and stir until boiling. Stir out any lumps and cook until it is the consistency of mashed potatoes.

Turn out onto a plate and cover with a damp, well-wrung kitchen towel - let cool. Dust a work surface with cornstarch and knead until pliable.

BAKING CLAY

4 cups plain/all-purpose flour
1 cup salt
1 teaspoon powdered alum (optional)
1.5 cups water

Mix ingredients in a bowl.

This clay bakes best if the ornaments are not too thick - about 1/2 inch is best.

Bake your ornaments on an ungreased baking tray for 30 minutes then turn and bake them for another 90 minutes until they are hard and dry (keep an eye on them so they don't burn). You need a low oven temperature - about 250 degrees F or 120 degrees C. When they are cool you can smooth them with fine sandpaper before decorating and varnishing.

NO COOK PLAY DOUGH RECIPE

2 cups of plain/all-purpose flour
1 cup salt
1 cup cold water
1 tbsp oil (vegetable oil is fine - baby oil smells lovely).

Drop the ingredients into a plastic bag and seal. Let the children knead them together inside the bag - then tip it out for modeling fun.

HOMEMADE PLAY DOUGH

2 cups plain all-purpose flour

1 cup salt

2 tablespoons cooking oil

2 teaspoons cream of tartar

2 cups of water

Put all dry ingredients in a saucepan. Add water, oil and color. cook slowly and stir all the time. As it gets hot it will begin to thicken up. Knead on a floured surface.

Alternatively, microwave on high for up to 6 minutes. Remove frequently and stir. Knead on a floured surface.

SLIME

2 cups cornstarch

1 cup warm water

food coloring

Stir the cornstarch into the warm water, a little at a time until all of the starch has been added. The reason for using warm water instead of room temperature water is because this makes it easier to mix the slime without getting any clumps. You can add a little more starch if you want a thicker slime. Add a small amount of water if you want a runnier slime. Also, the consistency of the slime is affected by temperature. Warm slime will flow more readily than cool or refrigerated slime.

Add food coloring to achieve the desired color.

EASY FINGER PAINT RECIPE

• 1/2 cup flour
• 1 cup water
• pinch of salt (optional)
• extra water
• Food coloring  

Directions

1. Pour flour and water into a pot.
2. Stir the ingredients over medium heat until it comes together like smooth, thick paste. The mixture will be lumpy along the way, but it all comes together.
3. When it starts to pull away from the pot, remove from the heat.
4. Add a pinch of salt. This helps keep the paint from spoiling if you don’t use it right away.
5. To reach the desired consistency, slowly add cold water to the mixture. I added about 1/4 cup water to our paint. 
6. Divide the paint into bowls.
7. Squeeze food coloring  into the flour mixture until you reach the desired color.
8. Store in a covered container in the fridge if you’re not planning to use this right away. It will keep indefinitely.

I tried the red wine glass first and loved the experience. I love the quality of these glasses. These remind me of stemware that can be found in upscale restaurants. They are a little heavy but feel more durable than regular stemware. Please pardon the el'cheapo bottle of wine pictured. That was my first bottle ever purchased and I did not want to splurge on something I might not like. Each 3 set package of stemware comes in a nice box that will make these an awesome gift no matter the occasion.

I had the same experience with the white wine stemware. Very elegant yet durable. All of the sets that I obtained came in a package of three glasses. I am not sure why as most of the people I know party in sets of four or more. But that is okay. That does not affect my review at all.

Have you ever owned a set of champagne stemware but didn't have champagne to put in the glass? Well, that was me, haha. Putting anything other than champagne in this glass felt wrong. But I did it anyway and got through it. Again, very elegant and serviceable stemware that I have fallen in love with. I now have a problem however. I do not have an adequate display for my stemware. Amily Shen's "WONDERLAND" A coloring book

I have never owned an adult coloring book but I have wanted to give it a try. I had previously bought coloring pencils but had never gotten around to actually buying the books. I had seen a few in store but nothing had really grabbed my attention. Then, I came across this coloring book. It caught my attention immediately so I thought, "Why not?"

I grew up reading "Alice in Wonderland" and loved the book. I also watched every movie that came out. I am not saying I am an expert but I know a little about Alice and the White Rabbit. I could also read the book over and over again.

This book is inspired by Alice's Adventures and is told in the first person narrative. I love how it covers the story as well as lets you color the pages. It also gives you options to draw. For example, there is a page with 2 butterflies and it say's "Give them some more beautiful butterfly friends." So you draw your own. On another page in the book you are asked to write the names of your friends whom you are inviting to the party. So you feel as if you are interacting with the book. It is like you are helping to create the book and I find that interesting and fun. Also included within the pages are puzzles that you complete by finding the answers throughout the book.

This coloring book may not be for everyone. But If you grew up enjoying the classics, love whimsical books and love to read then you will enjoy this coloring book. My neighbor commented that she thought it would be for little girls. Yes, this would make an excellent gift for your child that loves to color and if they have not read "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland", then it would be a great introduction to a timeless classic.

The only problem I had with this book is that it is just gorgeous and I do not want to write in it, haha. But then again, there is a part of me that wants to make my pictures as pretty as I can. I am very happy with this coloring book. I fell in love with it as soon as I opened my package and I love the way the story unfolds within the gorgeous pages.

Beach Towel / Sports towel by Mister Alfresco

I was very excited to try this beach towel/sports towel by Mister Alfresco. These are not your average towels at all. If you are familiar with foutas then that will give you an idea of what these towels are like. These are half towel and half Turkish Pestemal towels. One side is cotton that is very soft. The other side is bamboo that makes it very absorbent and allows it to dry quickly.

Made from 70% cotton and 30% eco-friendly bamboo this towel is similar to a microfiber towel and feels very natural. The product description says that it absorbs odors and that it would make a great dog towel but I would never use these on my dog even though he lives indoors. I think they are to nice for that. But if you like to spoil your pooch then that is up to you of course.

These are machine washable: Wash on a warm/cool cycle and then tumble dry on your coolest setting. I used cold water and then I hung it out to dry the first time I washed it. It did great and did not snag. I was concerned about the French knots bunching together but this did not become an issue when I followed the instructions for the second wash. I just made sure that I used my lowest temperature setting which is air dry. It took about 15 minutes to dry. I did not wash or dry this towel with any other item. I wanted to make sure I had no issues with the product and I didn't. Please follow the instructions when it comes to washing these. I believe that high temps would alter the state of these towels in the worst way. I washed a cashmere sweater once and placed it in the dryer. Needless to say, my Barbie rocked her new sweater.

These towels are very large 35.5 x 67 inches. They can be used for the beach (my favorite), as a travel towel, camping towel, yoga towel or anything you might like.

I believe my favorite thing about these towels is that they are very compact when folded. These fit very nicely in my day pack or beach bag without the extra bulk of a regular towel. This allows me to carry more items when going to the lake or community center pool.

I would seriously love to have a complete set of these towels. They have colors that match my color scheme in my bathroom and would give my bathroom a nice warm feel. They come in a vast array of colors:
